never say never

As I picked up sewing over the last year, I can distinctly remember saying that I wouldn't bother making Maria any clothes. Store bought clothes are just too cute and too cheap. And then Anna started making the cutest john-johns and jumpers...and I saw her having all sorts of fun with fabrics...annnnd I had to eat my words! "Sew days" were born... and while the kiddos played/napped we had a blast sewing little outfits, eating good Mexican food (somehow found in Abbeville of all places), and just all having fun together. Here are some of the dresses and such that I made during our much missed sew days:

My first batch of dresses, 2 practice rounds for Ria and one for a little friend.

This batch was all for bday gifts...and my first official "order" for dresses (and shorts)! I also learned to make a john-john before leaving, which Anna did a wonderful job monograming a John Deere tractor onto it!

Little matching dresses for my 2 nieces!

Maria out with Andre ;) ... wearing a little cherry dress I made for practice.

A dress that took Mom's help! This one was for Maria to be the flower girl in Aunt Kristi and Uncle Mike's wedding. :)

And a cute pic of our 2 kiddos playing after we finished sewing one afternoon. :)
