christmas is coming to town

And I mean that quite literally! (well, 'came' to town... still catching up here) He came to our very own house! This was quite a treat for us -to be home for Christmas- as we're usually traveling to visit family.

I did my best not to go overboard on incorporating Christmas traditions for us. The kiddos are after all, only 3 years and 2 months (at the time)! Not quite old enough to grasp everything. (It did require reminding for that to sink in!)

Dada and Maria spent Christmas Eve day putting together a gingerbread house. And while it is an edible house... We decided 'edible' was a relative word. Meaning - if you like cardboard, then it tasted fabulous! ;-)

We baked cookies and left milk for St Nick!

Who was happy to indulge the wee one and gobble them up before leaving goodies for all of us. ;-) (Also noted:: Christmas Eve is apparently the trick to getting a certain toddler to sleep in her bed ALL night long!)

Yay Christmas morning!!!!

All too sweet:: Camille woke after the present/Santa Clause madness was mid way through. Maria was all too happy to stop opening her presents, and instead she helped Camille. :-)

Star gazing was on the list for Christmas Eve traditions. Maria was most excited. However, upon leaving Mass we realized the rain and cloud cover were not going to cooperate. Perhaps next year.
