birthday camping trip

I'm way behind... but I'm determined to to at least get photos posted of some of our 'bigger' happenings.:-)

Rather than have big birthday parties every year, our theory is to take the birthday girl on a trip. (We'll see how long this 'theory' will last!)

Clifford goes camping, George goes camping... and so Maria has been asking to go camping. Therefore, we went camping! We headed out for a one night stay to Colorado Bend State Park (gorgeous)...with 1 4 year old, 2 6month olds, 3 dogs, good friends, and a whole lotta stuff. It really couldn't have gone better (minus the dogs barking at the armadillos nosing around in the middle of the night!)

This impromptu bubble blower purchase was the hit of her little party... and also her entertainment as we set up camp. And of course...

Nap time for the wee Camille. (It was way too hot for all of this snuggling, but it's totally the only way she'll fall asleep!)

The making of pizza sandwiches on the camp stove (no fires, fabulous Texas burn bans)... somehow a knife did not make it in with all of our stuff. But a baby spoon works wonders!
