Somewhere during our time between Louisiana and back, this little one's hair has lightened and grown like crazy! She pulls barrettes and bows out as soon as I clip them in, thus it was time to try out a 'whale spout' as her sisters call it.
I think she likes it.
I genuinely could not decide which pictures to post. Actually there are lots more; I'm proud of myself for narrowing it down to four. She's just so stinkin' cute and cheery!
While we were away, I gave Dada a list of busy projects so he didn't go stir crazy sitting around without much to do. (Rather nice of me, don't ya think? ;D) He quite outdid himself with this mud kitchen... ok, he really outdid himself. He even painted it! (Painting is his least favorite 'chore.')
The girls are always wanting to go outside solo, but that means they have to stay in the parameters of our 'back area' which really doesn't offer much 'outside' at all. The mud kitchen gives them something to do once they're out, fulfills their desire to be in their own little space with their own little rules, and isn't it every kid's dream to 'cook' with dirt and sand and water?!
This is a silly little ending to this random post. Care Bears have been all the rage here since I showed them a Care Bear movie on the drive home from Louisiana. Maria has been asking if they're really real. I remember wondering the same thing as a kid. Eventually, I realized the Care Bears are basically on the same level with Santa and all the rest of the magical make believe world of childhood.
When Maria laid out the week's plans of 'Care Bear green day' and 'Care Bear upside down day,' I decided to seize the opportunity. During the night, I flipped a few items upside down in the playroom and kitchen. It worked. I admit I was a bit shocked, but they totally went for it. And loved it. For days they speculated about how the Care Bears had done it.
I do love my job.
Oh and I can never resist sleeping photos of these wee little ones of mine.
