the sound of music

Much to the hubby's chagrin, I often find myself wandering the house singing tunes from The Sound of Music. (How can one help it when your wee daughter's name is Maria... and she often merits a singing of, "How do you solve a problem like Maria?..." ;D) So here's my brief, not quite rhyming version of "My Favorite Things" from M's perspective.

Wet puppy noses and tails on black kittens
Balls of bright colors and babies galore
The bright shinning mo-on placed high in the sky
These are a few of my favorite things

When my teeth hurt
When my corks fall
When my dada's gone
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad

M noticed the moon the other night for the 1st time. She pointed, asked "waa?", then spent nearly a full minute staring at it (a long time for my wee child).
