he came, he left, he conquered...

...our hearts for the bazillionith time. :)  Cheezy, I know... but it's just so true!  We had a fabulously wonderful 18 days with the hubby and desperately wish he was still here with us.

Sorry for the extreme lapse in posts these past...um, few months!  New computer, lost camera (during the hubby's visit no less - total bummer), busy, lazy, etc.  :)  But I'm getting back into the "blogging" swing again, so be on the lookout!

Our silly fun posters that we made to welcome Dada home. :D

We're headed to the zoo and Dada fixed my hair!  Didn't he do a great job?! ;)

Gotta love how useful the stroller is... for carrying my bag!  Apparently toddlers prefer to walk.

Dada's love for old fixed up cars brought us to a car show in a nearby town. (Not his favorite car or anything... I just liked the orange color!)

And he totally got both Ria and I addicted to Crossfit.  Here we are about to set out for a 5K run.  It was quite nippy as you can tell!  Maria is fabulous at kettlebell swings and lunges too!

Ring-around-the-rosy fun.  I sneakily snapped this one from the kitchen window while I was preparing lunch.  Doesn't get much sweeter than that. :)

Family bonfire night!  We had sooo much fun lighting up a pile of branches leftover from the hurricane.  The hubby fixed smores, we sang every Garth Brooks/George Strait song we could think of, and...

...and the wee one even enjoyed some beer! hehe  She's still a stinker for that beer bottle! ;)

Jon-D ended his 18 days spending 7 hours in a tattoo shop in Lafayette.... yes you read that correctly!  7 hours straight!  What a man! He has an awesome sleeve tattoo to show for it, and I know it means a lot to him.
And his last farewell meal...???  An MRE!  haha  I had one from the hurricane and was beyond curious to try it.  He humored me with a full tutorial.  I promise I fed him something else!
