Divine Mercy Sunday miracle

Divine Mercy Sunday has in recent years become a special favorite celebration of the Church calendar for me. This DM Sunday was especially special! The wee Maria decided to stand up all on her own!! (I'm sure every proud mama understands the miracle that I find this to be!) In typical Maria fashion, she does things in her own order. (ie: crawling months before she could sit up) She hasn't tried letting go and standing/walking while near stationary objects. Rather, she just popped up all her own in the middle of the hall, the yard, and even the bathtub! She's quite proud of her new accomplishment as you can see in the pics. It's hard to capture as she does it so quickly, but I did the best I could. Yay big girl Maria!

(I promise, I'm not off to the side holding her hand! I just wasn't prepared when she "popped" up in the middle of crawling. :D)

Divine Mercy Sunday was put on the Church calendar by the late JPII the Great in 2000. The feast day honors St. Faustina and the message she received from Jesus. Whether Catholic or otherwise, Divine Mercy is associated with some wonderful prayers and messages. Check it out at this link: http://thedivinemercy.org/message/
