gween gwass and tees!

The final decision is in... and while it may come as a surprise to some (or actually, to no one), we are definitely not city folk! San Antonio offers lots of interesting and amusing places to go things to see, but in our weird way, we'd just rather be away from it all. We're all about "gween gwass and gween tees"... as Maria likes to exclaim from her carseat when spotting such sightings out of the car window. And so, we and some friends (and dogs) headed out north of the city to Guadalupe State Park to take in some "gween gwass and tees". :)
The last view of a dry clean 2 y.o. ;)

As instructed, she's innocently standing ankle deep in the water throwing rocks. (fyi: The husband is an excellent rock skipper!)

But apparently she needed to squat down to get a good view of where in the water her rocks were landing...

...actually, sitting offers a much better vantage point for throwing rocks and not getting knocked over by wet river dogs.

Here, for your viewing pleasure, is our wet (and very happy) little monkey.... before she got covered in mud.

Our little explorer, scaling rocks and roots and tall grass... barefoot...on her mission...

...to proudly reach this boulder which was set a ways down river through perilous knee deep waters!

And then she came back to our little section of rock-beach, to throw more rocks... and this time she found the mud. A back portrait and...
a front portrait! (She was far too busy frolicking around -again barefoot on all these rocks- to pause for a photo.) But don't miss her "mud mustache". :)

Happy trails to you, until we meet again...!

This post would not have been complete without at least one pic of our dog "crew" - every color and flavor of retriever present! (Our Audi is the black lab swimming on ahead of the "greeting party".)
