Although we missed Dada, Maria and I had a wonderful time relaxing and playing (and sewing) at Nana and Pa's (or NanaPa, as Ria refers to them!).
One of M's favorite things to do when we visited this summer was to pick tomatoes and cucumbers from Nana's garden. So with her grandkids in mind, Nana planted a special batch of fall cucumbers for little hands to pick!
Maria has a definite love for helping with baking and cooking in the kitchen. So when Nana informed us that she needed to make a batch of her special-super-duper-yummy oatmeal cookies (with raisins and pecans and lots of spices... so yummy!), she received 4 extra hands!

It rained through most of our visit - good ol' South Louisiana. ;) Of course, this was no deterrent to Maria! She had good fun picking pecans (and even finding one with a "baby tree" growing from it) between downpours, splashing in water puddles after the rain, and we even spotted a rainbow!
