little spaces

Camille's room - has been a place of great fun and creativity for me. We were on the move quite a bit when Maria was tiny, so I never really 'decorated' a room for her. Creating a space for a new little unknown individual is, well... refreshing. And that's exactly what Camille's room is for me - a refreshing stop in the midst of our crazy days! It's a hodge-podge of new and old, mostly handmade treasures... which makes it all the more special. :-)

Her baptism gown, now worn by 10 of the grandchildren (on my Dad's side of the fam). The shoes are handmade by my cousin, Debbie. The flowers are some Ree picked out at the grocery one day - for Dada. :-)

One of my favorite pieces in the room - her little family tree that I ordered from Sarah Jane Studios. Shoes were my Mom's as a babe, ceramic shoe was mine, silver cup a "birth" day present from 1-5 Cav, and Mama Mary (always an essential).

The "C" is Mama-made, the birth announcement is Aunt-Julie-made, the snowflake/flower is from a pillow case that was my Mom's in college which I also used in college.

A Mama-made little "birth announcement" pillow of sorts (that still awaits more embroidery). The idea came from this fabulous blog.

And the precious smiley little occupant of this room! (occasionally ;-D)

Oh I just loved Camille's room and your vintage chic style. I cannot wait to get caught up with your Etsy and write up something about it. I still want one of your diaper bags! Probably somewhat impractical about now...:(

Thanks Penni :-) And while it might not be a diaper bag... I do have a little something in the works for you. ;-) (I couldn't resist.)
