Last week I was excited to put Ree's love for scissors to use.
This week - not so much.
Last week she used the scissors to cut fabric. This week it was her hair... that she cut. Bangs to be exact.
(Um, ignore the fingers in the nose. Somehow I failed to notice until I posted the pics. What is happening to my brain!?!)
Just for the record, the conversation went something like this::
me:: MarEEEEa did you cut your hair?!!!
Ree:: grin. um hm.
me:: Did you think that was an ok thing to do?
Ree:: No. But it was too long! So I took my hair like this (pantomime grabbing hair that was once hanging in her face), and I stood in front of the trash can, and then I cut it like this (pantomime scissors in action), and then I just put it in the trash! And that way I didn't need a hair cut apron! Cute toddler smile.
Clearly since she negated the need for a haircut apron (I usually have her wear one), cutting one's own hair is a-ok. sigh

Can you believe that we have never had a hair-cutting incident at our house? And now that I have verbalized it, we will. :) I answered your comment on my blog...I never know quite where to answer- here or there? Anyway, she is pretty cute- gotta love her even if she cuts her hair!
It looks great! I like the bangs. I mean you can clean it up to make it straight but it looks ok. :)
