how does your garden grow...part 2

Our garden has grown! produced! And in Maria's words, "is drying up"... meaning, she's wondering why we've stopped watering and instead everything is turning brown and droopy. It was lots of fun, a great learning experience for her, and now I'm curious what I can grow during the fall. Any suggestions?

Early on, she was ALL about watering... I have to say that interest definitely faded as the months went by!

But then, her interest was renewed with our regular "harvesting" of a few cucs and tomatoes here and there.

Am I overly proud? Probably. But I just love these homegrown wonders!!!

We ate lots of wonderful fresh sides of good ol' veggies with salt and pepper, sometimes adding vinegar and/or oil. Even Ria finally decided she liked cucumbers! (I've been trying for 3 summers running with cucumbers from Mom's garden.) She thought sprinkling the salt was super fun and therefore worth actually taking a bite. :-)
