I definitely keep falling behind in posting pics of our 'life around here'. So many precious memories to record! Anyway, here's a few moments from August/September :: enjoy the photo smattering!
In August, Ree and I headed south to visit my fam. And along the way, we got to see her newest cousin (my niece), Millie Evangeline! :-)
I promise... Maria is not shoving wee Millie over!! I guess Millie was just a bit lopsided... Maria was full of 'sha sha's' and kisses for her cousin. :-)
My sweet girl and her love for monsters, :-) prompted the making of a monster dress! (Thanks for the idea Nana.) It was quite a fun project that Ria and I worked on together. I won when it came to the eyes, she won when it came to the oh so many teeth. ("I want him to have lots of teeth close together like mine.. see?" Yes, sweet girl, Mommy would love to hand embroider 7 teeth instead of the original 3! ;-D )
He's a cute little happy monster, eh? And p.s. I was quite excited about my first project with knit fabric!
Her other new love, DINOSAURS... RAAWR!!! (Dinosaur finger puppets :: love the dollar aisle at Target!)
During Labor Day weekend we had a fun little bbq/picnic at the house with some of the couples from JD's unit. And yes, there are a LOT of prego mommies (as in all of us pictured plus more)!! The guys occupied the porch... um, t.v./baseball game... while we enjoyed a bit of cool weather with a picnic.
Another fun Labor Day bbq with friends! It was too funny as Maria tried to help Dada win at this 'northern' version of horseshoes. (I can't remember the name of it... you toss bean bags filled with corn between two little boards with holes in them. How's that for a description!?)
The Waco zoo! So fun! And sooo hot! (After cool weather just the day before... love being back in the south... but really I do... just 8.5 months pregnant in September, at the zoo, in the heat of the day - not the best idea! Thus here's our zoo photo. :-D )
Dada usually shaves at 5:30 a.m. And thankfully none of the rest of us are awake to witness this ritual! But on a slow Sunday morning, Maria was quite mesmerized by the whole procedure (which did not occur at 5:30 a.m.). Such a sweet moment :-)
tea parties! Maria received this fun tea set for her birthday... a source of lots of fun little family gatherings. She insists on real water for her tea pot and real snacks for the food... which leads to her favorite part - washing her dishes, all by herself! :-)
A random early morning breakfast at her 'tea party table'.
