You see, we spent the summer and fall delighting in 'outdoor' suppers. Every evening. Eating in our quaint screened in porch. Bliss.
Then winter came along. (Yes, 60 is cold to this Southern Mama!) We debated what type of heater we could put on the porch that would allow us to continue to share our family meals while spotting birds and squirrels and such. I decided that sort of heat source only existed inside.
Then Christmas came along. And along with it came Christmas lights. Some of which got strung above the 3 kitchen windows. An idea was born. Candles were added. Lights were turned off.
The result :: a fun "wintery" sort of dining that has added an element of sparkle to the cold grey of winter. Indoor suppers are now a bit more magical. :-)

Those little lamps are adorable! When I went to the IKEA store I saw all sorts of candle lamps like them. Hope you had a good weekend. Spent the day cooking and made huge messes but fun!
