yesterday::
Maria was eating breakfast at the table. I walked up behind her to hear her shout, "Hoo-ray!" and proceed with the rest of 'If You're Happy and You Know It'.
Camille and I sat by her side as she planted 'sand seeds' in her sand box. She greeted a bee, "Hello again bumble bee!"
I found a gianormous pile of sand on the porch. The explanation :: "I made a birthday cake for Audrey, and she wouldn't come up (to the sand box) to eat it. So I had to bring it to her."
I learned how to make spetzel with a friend. Maria stood on a stool helping me drop the bits of gooey dough into the boiling pot of water. Later, as she taste tested the spetzel she made fabulous 'culinary' type faces before proclaiming it good!
I asked if I could have one of her chocolate Hello Kitty Valentines' candy hearts. She said sure - they taste like paper chocolate. ???!!!
This a.m. I awoke and found her curled up on the floor at the foot of our bed. Next to our resident dog, Audrey. She was pretending to be baby Gnocci (from Curious George) who was pretending to be baby Mookie (our cat) sleeping with Audrey.
I love this girl of mine. :-)

Your never fail to make me absolutely laugh out loud. Your will be so happy someday to have these tidbits all tied up in this adorable blog. I loved the photos of Camille with her dolly. It was so true. She instantly fell asleep when she put Penelope on her face.
Spetzel? oooooh. interesting. We're thinking of trying butternut squash ravioli this weekend....
The sand castle! The culinary faces! Ha, Ha, Ha!
