Wowsers. Between welcoming a new wee one and a new Kindergartener, September was quite a month! And let's not forget that we made a huge move back in late June... which drug itself out until mid July.
In between all of this craziness, we do attempt to live a 'normal' life! Attempt being the operative word. But then again, what is 'normal' anyway? Here's a smattering of 'normal' for us... because 'in between' is really where life happens.
Rain! Oh how we missed thee! We did our best to soak up/play in as much summer rain as we possibly could. You should check back here and here to see a smattering of previous 'summer rain love'.
The box that would not find the trash can! It offered so much fun, I simply couldn't bring myself to toss it. (Despite the fact that after so many moves, lingering boxes drive me bonkers!) Here it is as a cat house. I'm thinking the above (and below) occupants found an exception to the "Cat-s-only" rule. ;) They enjoyed it for days... I daresay weeks!
August wouldn't be complete without celebrating Audrey puppy's birthday! Handmade party hats, homemade cookies, and a 5 year old to blow out her candle. :D
Why yes, if you're wondering, our dog does get to eat off of a plate if it's her birthday... straight from the table too! Oh dear.
Lots of ice cream on the front 'porch'...
Lots and lots of bubble blowing...
A never ending amount of stickers...
A good bit of baking (and licking)...
And tons upon tons of snuggling. I heart summer.
Oh yeah, and we spent as much time in our pajamas as possible, all summer long. I knew pajama days were coming to an end with school starting. And mismatched -aka 'crazy pajamas'- they're all the rage these days!
