throw back thursday

I'll drag the Halloween spirit out for one more hoorah this week.  Here's last year's Pirate Princess crew!  Maria was all about Jake and the Neverland Pirates and everything pirate.  I wasn't sure what we were going to do and a few days prior she made the request for a Pirate Princess costume.  

She drew the plans, and we set to work after bedtime a couple of nights prior to Halloween cutting and glittering and hot glueing until our little happy purple hearts' content!  The best part was her excitement cheering me on, "This is perfect, Mommy!  You're doing a great job!"

 Still working on some final costume details!  (This is the 'after' design... thankfully she didn't seem to mind that the final product didn't exactly match her original drawing.)

Handing out candy on Halloween... always the favorite!  But we did actually make it around to a few houses as well.

We'll try to make this a weekly routine, eh? And perhaps I can manage to make up for last year's complete lack of posts!
