throw back thursday

No more dreaming of summer (or summers past).  Seeing as I am using throw back thursday to catch up on a year's worth of missed blogging, I will do my best to go chronologically through the remainder of 2012.  Otherwise, this could get really confusing when viewing the published version.  (By the way, if you blog, you must check out this amazing resource.  Best piece of advice I ever read on another blog!)

With no where in particular to rush off to last year, we enjoyed pink pancakes for Valentine's Day.  Perhaps one day I will one up this whole 'school thing', and we will still enjoy homemade-colorful-holiday-based breakfasts!

Somewhere amongst the 17,000 photos I have between our 2 computers are hidden some super cute pics of our Mardi Gras celebration from last year... masks, homemade King Cakes...  Until then we shall just enjoy what is always the most talked about repeat Mardi Gras activity - hanging beads from the fan, then turning it on to watch them fly around!  

Last February we also enjoyed a visit from our sweet cousin Millie.  It was a rainy cold February kind of weekend, but we still managed to check out the Mayborn Museum and a restaurant which Elvis Presley frequented!  Family/friend visits are always a perfect excuse to check out new sites!
