A few weeks back Maria thoroughly enjoyed our visit with Great Aunt Lou and Uncle Bubby. Relatively speaking it was a cool day for August so we "toured" the vegetable garden, hung out with the resident dog Bruno (M is always happy when a r.d. is present ;) ), ate crawfish pie (lots of it!), and M's favorite moment - stuffed our cheeks with figs!
hmm... looks like it'll make good fried eggplant to me!

FIGS!!! When I wasn't looking, M wandered herself clear across the yard back to this fig tree and just started picking away!
...and then she totally stuffed her cheeks!
