from rain to snow

We had some crazy weather last week!  Four and a half days of steady rain, the first two being slightly warm and the last two were quite chilly.  

By day 2 were going a bit stir crazy.  Since it was somewhat warm, we decided to take advantage of the temps and our new rain gear!  We even found some friends crazy enough to stomp and splash around with us.  It's good to know a family full of boys!

Camilly was brave enough to try the slick 'water slide'.  Once.  I may or may not have had one of those 'photo mom' moments, where I was totally set on capturing a moment.  And she may or may not have fallen on her bum at the bottom.  No tears, but she wasn't going again!

Maria has always loved playing in the water and mud.  While Camille isn't the biggest fan of being super dirty, she's not one to miss out on a good time!

And Lila, well, she just thought the whole thing was plain silly!

Then on Friday we had SNOW!

It was just an icy layer, barely enough to cover the ground, but that didn't stop Maria from making snow balls!

And just as her 2 year old sister before her, Camille spent her time eating the snow!

They even made 'pretend' snow angels... because there wasn't really enough snow to make real ones!  I was surprised that Maria remembered making snow angels in the deep snow we had last time we lived in Virginia.  She remembered how Dada had picked her up out of the angel so that she wouldn't mess it up before getting to look at it.  Love those little memories that we can now share.
