snowed in

'Snowed in' might be an exaggeration, but I can promise you that this little Cajun chicky isn't going anywhere! We're expected to receive a foot of snow around here... so you can expect more snow pics to come! I'm absolutely fascinated... it's been falling ALL day! If you go outside and make tracks, they're covered right up in minutes!

First things first, Maria had to get a healthy dose of snow eating this morning!

(Just for incase it's not obvious, I'm shivering on the porch taking a few pics before dashing back in the house! :) )

And since this seemed to be Maria's favorite indoor activity for a snow day, Mommy decided to get creative...

So we made little 'mouse socks' for Mookie! Check out those little smiley faces Maria drew on them by herself! (They're filled with catnip and stuffing. ;D )

And the mice later received the ears I had originally forgotten.

It's a good thing Mookie genuinely enjoyed his sock mice, b/c if not Maria was there to make certain he played!

For the animal shelter in K.C., we made cat treats...plastic eggs filled with rice. We brought one home for our cats and they went wild!!! Certainly, nothing as cute as your little mousy treats!

Oh! cleaning products for greener living. Homeschoolers are ALWAYS discussing this! Have you looked into the brand Meleleuca (sp)?
