"Oh, Lila!"
We say that a lot these days. Namely when we find her rolling off of the rug we put in the playroom so she wouldn't be on the cold tile... already making her way to the animals' food/water bowls, placing her back on the padded rug, only to find her back on the cold tile.
She's on a mission these days. A mission to reach, roll, or wriggle her way to whatever catches her fancy.
::When you're not busy rolling and wiggling, you're still too busy looking around to be bothered with eating. If you don't believe me, check out this page of Maria's book she recently wrote and read to her class... while I was visiting, of course!
::When you do eat, you've joined the ranks of your sisters before you by sticking your little fingers in my mouth, scratching at my gums and teeth in amusement as you nurse.
::You are so so very soft. The softness of babies is a pure marvel to me.
::You're always up for a good game of tug-a-war (notice the bottom left of the picture), row-row-row-your-boat, or pat-a-cake... you're favorite is when one of your sisters plays these games with you.
::You have this super funny new noise that we all love to make fun of. It's akin to a spitting motor boat. You generally employ it when you're frustrated which makes it all the funnier. Either way, it brings us all a good laugh.
::When you're happily playing, you enjoy tap tap tapping your feet. It's rather adorable. When you're ready to be picked up, you use the same swimming arms and legs motion as Camilly did.
::Above and below are your signature moves these days. They're how you find yourself always hearing, "Oh, Lila!" I see some serious rock climbing in your future. You have an amazing 'reach'.
::You have lots of hair. And lots of new hair coming in. But my favorite is the little random strands of blonde hair that you've had since birth. It's a couple of tiny white-blonde hairs growing in the perfect center of your head. I love them.
No outtakes this month, but since I can't get enough of this little smiley social babe of mine here are a a couple of our prep photos.
If like me, you still can't get enough of her, here's last month.

She is so cute. And how hysterical about Maria's story?? So true, 6 months is the age where they look up and get distracted. :)
