In grade school my girlhood friend, Jennifer Donnel, returned from visiting her grandparents in Texas with a Bluebonnet t-shirt... and I fell in love with these flowers. At the time, I had never even seen them in real life!
Camille was a bit groggy/grumpy from a nap, but Maria was in 7th heaven. It was perhaps the most fun I've ever had photographing these little ones. Best of all, we were the 1st to find this spot. Just days later, it was trampled and flattened by the multitudes of other well-meaning Bluebonnet lovers.
