Maria received a fun surprise for her birthday evening... Tickets to the circus from Nana and Pa! She wasn't quite sure what to think at first; I don't think she had much of a notion of what a circus was. But oh my, once we arrived...
The snow cones were the first marvel! And immediately I was transported back to memories of the circus as a kid... so we just had to purchase snow cones, in tiger cups no less! Thankfully when Camille's spilled, it missed the family in front of us and soaked our feet instead.
Have you been to the circus lately? If not, it's a must! With or without kiddos. Seriously, I would've returned the very next day just to watch it all again. It really is amazing. There is just soooo much happening all around you, all at the same time.
I wish I could've managed some better pics, but alas it was phone pics only. Maria sat in rapt amazement the entire time. And I've never seen her accomplish a potty break so speedily! She declared the tigers and the dancing dogs as her favorites of the night. And the sitting elephants.
Upon leaving, she declared she wanted to join the circus. I had to agree with her, I was ready to sign up myself! I asked if she would rather be in the circus or be an artist. Without a moments thought, artist was the answer. Love that girl's focus. I haven't heard anything more about joining the circus. ;)
