Christmas family blessings

Yay for family! If we didn't already appreciate our wonderful families, living this far away definitely brings it all into perspective. We were very grateful to be able to visit with both of our families during Christmas. Spending Christmas week in Maryland with Jon-D's fam and flying to Louisiana to spend the next week with my fam. :) Here's a picture overload for you!

(And a special thanks to all of our babysitters and to my Louisiana girlies for making the extra effort to get together while we were in town! xoxo's)
Maria simply loves loves loves to help in the kitchen, especially baking... probably b/c that means she gets to lick the beaters afterward! ;) Here she is taste-testing the pumpkin roll filling.

Family pic at Aunt Mi's before Christmas Eve Mass. :) (Cooperation is not always Ria's strong suit! hehe)

The gorgeous all white St. Elizabeth's that was covered and surrounded in snow. Obviously the picture doesn't do it justice, but I still couldn't resist posting more 'snow' pics!

Maria is also quite into puzzles these days. Here she is working on one of Aidan's puzzles with Quita!

Headed to Louisiana! (And oh what a mess we had getting there!... which is what happens when you miss a 5:45a.m. flight!) Maria was quite proud to pull her new ladybug suitcase through the airport all by herself. Well, except when she got tired... then she'd just drop it and continue walking! :D

Our sweet little Christmas girls :)

One year Charlee received a stroller for Christmas and wanted to push Maria around in it. This year Maria received a stroller and insisted that we strap baby Brett into it! :)

Silly Dada having some good fun popping bubble wrap!

Learning how to cook a good Cajun breakfast from Pa.

Wahoo! Cajun crawfish girls eating Pa's pop-overs (beignets) for breakfast! You just can't beat fried bread and sugar for breakfast!

We tried and tried... these 3 were just not having it. :)

Ria proving what we all suspected, that she really could fit in the little box that held her dress up clothes!

As long as I wasn't holding baby Bean, Maria was quite fascinated by her! ;)

Sugars :)

M's version of dressing up as a fairy!
