I can't believe I never managed to publish a real birthday post last year... the magical year of 5! It was a hard leap for me. Maria turning 5 somehow seemed like we were leaving those last little toddler/preschool years behind for our first born. And we were. But she was oh so happy and excited to use up all those fingers on her hand!
It was the year pink and purple became her favorite colors. It was the year donuts became preferred over badijos for the birthday breakfast. It was year #2 that the rainbow cake was the choice cake with which to celebrate.
