college visitors

This is my best friend from college.

She drove 6 hours - with her Littles in tow - to visit us in the Cro.  We had yet to meet each others' 'newest additions.'  And we were in need of some late night girlie chats and good laughs.

She is my rock.

(What happens when you leave 5 wee people alone on a swing and ask them to smile.)

In college we lived together, worked together, volunteered together, traveled together, went to the same church, and had the same circle of friends.  We never grew tired or annoyed with each other.  Seriously, it's kind of weird.  We used to joke that we needed to find the male versions of each other to marry.  (We kinda did, sort of.)

The Littles had a mostly fabulous time together (as much as 5 little people can when all traveling and a bit out of their element. ;D)  There was tomato picking, gator and tractor rides, park picnics, art sessions, even a basket-potty-training session!

However, I think Lila might have been the most grateful for their visit.  Chubby little Brianna is quite the meat eater... and she eagerly shared her fried chicken with Lila.  She's completely hooked.  No more of that plain boiled chicken that Mommy feeds her - blah!
