on my nightstand

I don't do this very often.  Ok, I've never done it.  But I think about doing it lots!

My best reading lists are comprised from friends' blogs (both real life friends and blogger world ones who have no idea who I am ;D).  I'm not a fast reader... as in I generally have to renew library books at least once.  I'm certain it has nothing to do with my limited 'quiet' time.

Every now and then, I figure I'll snap a photo of the book(s) on my nightstand.  If I have time, I'll post reviews and links.  Here's my quickie review of the current selection::

~One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp  A fabulous read about seeing the beauty and grandeur right where you are - in the bubbles while washing dishes, in a harvest moon... remembering that all is a gift.  It's a bit repetitive.  However, I think it's a message that bears repeating, and I'm enjoying hearing it through her words over and over again.
~Mom's One Line a Day journal  I'm on my 3rd year with this journal.  Love love love it.  I'm going to go ahead and say - if you're a mom, it's a must have.
~Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child  This book came to me recommended from another mama of three... and all her kiddos sleep.  (Mine are now much better sleepers.  Most of the time.)  Anyway, super helpful book.  The best part is that it can be read/used as a reference book, no need to sit and read the whole overly-scientific-thing.  It often gets a bad rap for being the 'cry it out method'.  While he does vote for crying it out, it's only in an 'if all else fails' scenario.  His main point is how to keep one from ever arriving at such a situation.

And I would love to hear some suggestions for future reads!
